This is the type of propaganda that is the most likely to someday persuade me to get up early. Maybe.

Hi Natalie,
If you ever decide to try being an early riser, take up feeding the birds. Once they get used to you topping up their feeders in the morning, they will persistently invite you to get up earlier and earlier by tapping on the windows, shrieking good tidings from the nearest tree and jumping up and down in the eavestrough right above your bedroom window. I am not making this up!

My cats used to do that sort of thing. Well, more like incessant early-morning "I'm dying"-style meowing. That's when I realized that one should not get cats to look forward to any special food in the morning. Now I feed them canned food at dinnertime only, and they sleep in with me in the mornings...
So you might want to consider refilling the bird feeders in the afternoon instead! Or maybe you like the early morning serenade?
