Pond Dreams

110b_smallMany have asked, since I first reported on my friend Andrea's hand-built pond project in the Toronto Star, how it turned out.

This is what it looked like a year ago.  The digging and levelling and rock-collecting and moving of dirt went on through a cascade of merriment and teamwork.

2005_fall_mostly_finished_1 This is what it looks like now - still not quite done, but Andrea is already thrilled beyond belief.

Built by friends, neighbours, relatives and beer, this pond is pure beauty and enchantment.  For her liner, filter and pump, Andrea used the world's best pond equipment  supplier  (a European line that is super low-maintenance, trouble-free and has the best warranties in existence - see Oase Pumps for details, or talk to Vanessa at Water Arts in Toronto - (416) 239-5345 - to plan your pond for next season.)
