Put a little primate in your day
Gorilla Glue has just released their new line of heavy-duty duct tape ($9.95). It's black instead of the traditional gray, it's 2 to 3 times thicker than regular duct tape, and it's reinforced for all-weather performance. With twice as much adhesive as regular duct tape, it's stickier than leg wax, so it adheres to surfaces most tape can't - like brick, stucco, wood, metal, and legs in case you're interested. (I had to try. Ow.)
I like the black colour. It looks better than gray on darker items. I'm currently testing Gorilla Tape's resilience on an exterior lamp repair.
Most duct tape breaks down in one season of hot summer or cold winter. I'll keep you posted on its longevity in the Canadian climate, but I will say I was happy with the way the tape handled. It's so sticky it could remove your actual fingerprints. Gorilla Tape is more difficult to rip than regular duct tape, but you want it to be if it's expected to do a better job than the regular stuff. It's tough as cowhide, but still pliable. Try not to get it in your hair.
