From my experience, that tool technology works with other objects. Examples; keyboard you are typing on, the newspaper or book you are reading, the hood of the car you planned to drive to work, the roast duck cooling on the counter. Uh, sorry wasn't supposed to mention the last one to anyone, ever.

Wow Mike, thanks for pointing out the amazing range of this tool. I'd like to see the torque readings on being discovered astraddle a cooling duck! I have apparently underestimated this technology - thanks for the correction and don't worry, the secret of the great duck-centering countertop incident is safe with me.
